Review: Daily Breeze Newspaper (Article 2)

not sure that restaurants are the best of economic indicators. But then, since I know nothing about pork belly futures (though I do enjoy a good plate of grilled pork belly), they're just going to have to do. And the fact that a number of new restaurants have opened in the South Bay of late is certainly heartening - it seems to suggest that we are possibly, just possibly, emerging from our months Read more

Review: The Beach Reporter Magazine

Kah is the Thai word for the Galangal root, an herb similar to ginger that is used commonly in Thai cooking. The ivory-colored spice has a flavor that is subtle when young, and more intense as it matures. Review: Daily Breeze Newspaper (Article 1)

And on a recent Saturday night, Kah sure was doing the sort of business that none of those other concepts seemed to generate. The bar, with its multicolored, Las Vegas-style light, was jammed - indeed, it was standing-room only. Just about every table was taken, as well. I'm not sure Kah would be doing this sort of business on a Tuesday, but if it comes close, it should manage to stick around for a while. The menu is what might be described as Pan-Asian Lite. There are Vietnamese dishes, Japanese dishes, Chinese dishes - but mostly there are Thai dishes. This is a Thai restaurant with special guest appearances by neighboring cuisines. And the mix works very well. Read more
